2016–17 year to date performance overview
Between 1 July and 31 March 2017, the APVMA:
- finalised 108 applications for pre-application assistance
- received 1952 new product, active and permit applications for preliminary assessment
- commenced assessment/evaluation of 2061 product, active and permit applications
- finalised 1857 product, active and permit applications
- overall timeframe performance was 72 per cent for product, active and permit applications types with:
- 54 per cent of applications for pesticides completed in timeframe
- 77 per cent of applications for veterinary medicines completed in timeframe
- 86 per cent of applications for actives completed in timeframe
- 71 per cent of applications for permits completed in timeframe
- 73 per cent of the 1321 applications in progress are within timeframe
- 50 per cent of applications requiring major assessment for pesticides were completed within timeframe
- 61 per cent of applications requiring major assessment for veterinary medicines were completed within timeframe
- 56 per cent of non-technical applications for pesticides were completed within timeframe
- 88 per cent of non-technical applications for veterinary medicines were completed within timeframe.
